Yesterday we got 5 eggs! 2 Plymouth Rock eggs, 1 blue Ameraucana egg, and 2 Guinea eggs!
The first guinea egg is on the left, and is more "pointy" and triangular shaped than a chicken egg.

- Learning about country living one step at a time! Currently, Ian competes with two of his dogs in disc dog sports and flyball. Our home needs a lot of work and love, and is located on between 8-10 acres in eastern Connecticut. Our goal is to "live off the land" as much as possible, and includes having guinea hens to eat ticks and "bugs" out of the garden, chickens for eggs and meat, and maybe something crazy like an emu or alpaca if we feel like it! So far there are 4 dogs, 4 guinea hens, a whole mess of chickens, and a barn cat living on the farm. Looking to expand our flock to be full of egg laying machines!
